Summer & Winter Shipping
Argyle's Summer & Winter Shipping Policies
Extreme heat and cold can ruin wine.
Extreme heat and cold can ruin wine. Typically, boxes of wine sent by Ground service will travel on trucks not outfitted with temperature controls in the cargo areas. If it's 35° or even 90° outside, the extended hot/cold effects can damage your wine. This is unacceptable to us (you'll probably agree), so we take measures to prevent temperature-related damage.
From mid December to mid February
Argyle's winter shipping policy will be in effect. We'll be paying cautious attention to Ground shipments to colder states like Washington, Idaho, etc. If Ground shipments are an unsafe bet, then we'll either hold your wines in our temperature controlled cellar until the cold weather breaks, or we'll contact you to arrange Overnight shipment (prices vary). If you're in one of the cold zones, your best bet is to select Overnight shipping when placing your wine order.
From end of May to mid November
Argyle's summer shipping policy will be in effect. You may still place an order online. Starting May 28 (June 7 for OR and WA), we will hold all Ground and 2-day shipments until November 15 (October 1 for OR and WA).
Overnight shipping is still available to all states.
If you would like to discuss shipping options, please call our Sales and Service Coordinator, Erica Kincheloe, weekdays 9 to 5, at 503-538-8520, ext 233, or email email@example.com
Overnight orders will be shipped immediately. We cannot be held responsible if you demand Ground shipment and the wines travel in a climate outside a safe temperature range.
